DBE Signs Harlem's Edgar Santana
Faces Francisco Campos March 9th

New York, February 28 - Spanish Harlem standout Edgar "El Chamaco" Santana (16-2, 11 KO's) has signed a promotional agreement with DiBella Entertainment, it was announced today by DBE president Lou DiBella. Santana, a fixture on the popular Broadway Boxing series, will be in the main event for the first time under the DBE banner when Broadway Boxing Presented by Turning Stone Resort and Casino returns to the Grand Ballroom at Manhattan Center on Thursday night, March 9th.

Santana will square off against Francisco Campos (20-5-1, 12 KO's) of Costa Rica in the 10 round junior welterweight headline bout, it was announced at the press luncheon at Old San Juan Restaurant in Manhattan.

Santana, a Puerto Rican star on the rise who is one of the most popular New York-based fighters, has reeled off 11 straight victories, including seven in a row on Broadway Boxing cards. Santana's fiery and aggressive style has made him a bigger fan favorite with each and every fight.

A bevy of New York area fighters, including Staten Island's Gary Stark, Jr. (13-0, 6 KO's) in an eight round super bantamweight co-feature, will be on the undercard. The unbeaten Stark is promoted by Dash-DiBella Promotions. Also slated for action will be 2000 Olympian Jerson Ravelo (14-1, 9 KO's) of Newark in a super middleweight bout, Woodside's Washington Hago (2-1, 2 KO's) in a junior lightweight contest, South African heavyweight Osborn Michimana (10-2-1, 7 KO's) and Atlantic City's Lorenzo Bethea (5-0) in a junior welterweight battle.

Tickets are priced at $150, $100, $80, $60 and $40, and are available by calling DiBella Entertainment at 212-947-2577. Broadway Boxing Presented by Turning Stone Resort and Casino will air on a later date on MSG Network in New York, Fox Sports Net New England, Comcast Sportsnet Chicago and in high definition on HDNet.

Along with Turning Stone Resort and Casino, the site and title sponsor, Broadway Boxing is also sponsored by HBO Sports, Locatestock.com and Gallagher's Steak House.
