Friday's Worcester Press Conference Postponed
Due to pending Snowstorm and travel considerations, New date to be announced shortly
WORCESTER, Mass.- Friday's scheduled press conference at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass. to officially announce the May 6 world championship doubleheader, promoted by Don King Productions, has been postponed.
Showtime executives, who are in Manchester, England broadcasting a show this weekend, wanted to be in attendance at this press conference since it is such a big event for them. Travel restrictions are making that impossible so they have asked Don King if he could postpone it. It will be rescheduled for a later date. Former world champion and Worcester's own Jose Antonio Rivera challenges World Boxing Association super welterweight champion Alejandro "Terra" Garcia and undisputed cruiserweight champion O'Neil "Supernova" Bell defends against No. 1-ranked contender Steve "USS" Cunningham at the DCU Center on May 6 live on Showtime, 9 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast).
