SAN FRANCISCO - Like the Golden Gloves, the critically acclaimed television drama The Contender has touched the lives of fans and boxers throughout the world in an effort to revitalize the sport of boxing. Now, the two organizations unite as top-talent from season one of The Contender step forward to show their support for the 75th Annual San Francisco Golden Gloves.
Tune in to the The Bay Area’s Sports Leader KNBR 680/1050 and The Bone 107.7 between March 14th and March 20th to hear your favorite Contender boxers sound off about the positive impact that the Golden Gloves has on their lives, the lives of amateur boxers and the positive influence that the Golden Gloves brings to the community. Also hear what’s next for these former and future superstars of the sport.
Featured talent will include six-time World Champion Sugar Ray Leonard, Contender Champion Sergio Mora and Contender Fan Favorites Peter Manfredo Jr. and Alfonso Gomez.
