Miranda (center) and a member from his camp are interviewed by ESPN2's Joe Tessitore (left) and Teddy Atlas following his sensational victory over Howard Eastman.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla., March 24 - Televised over the popular ESPN2 "Friday Night Fights," Edison "Pantera" Miranda stopped Howard Eastman at 2:33 into the seventh round at the Seminole Hard Rock Arena.

"Miranda had him going in the fifth round. He hit him with a right and missed with the left. Had the left landed, he would have stopped him in the fifth round," said reporter Laz Izada.

With this victory, Miranda won the IBF Middleweight Title Eliminator and advanced to 26-0 with 23 knockouts. Eastman, who went the distance but lost against Bernard Hopkins in February 2005, drops down to 40-4 with 34 knockouts.
