Former World Champions Laura Serrano and Laya McCarter made spectacular returns to the ring. These two women showed fellow women boxers that they are still a force to be reckoned with in the boxing world.

Laura Serrano stated that she is back after a 3-year layoff to claim the WBC World Title at 126 lbs. and that is her main goal. In a sad note she fought and defeated former 3-time World Champion Tracy Byrd whom at the age of 42 announced her retirement from boxing immediately after the bout to the ringside crowd. Tracy a very gracious champion stated to the crowd "It is time to step down and retire, I give a lot of credit to Laura she is an excellent fighter." Tracy will be missed by all as a pioneer to women's boxing and a great champion.
