Stellar 5th Annual Charity Event Announced!

HUNTINGTON, NY, April 14, 2006 — On May 18, 2006, Frankie G Productions along with Bob Duffy’s Ring Promotions return to the Huntington Townhouse in Long Island with an absolutely stellar card. The co-main event spotlights hot up and coming prospect Joe Greene (9-0 7KO) of Brooklyn facing Newark’s Eric Graham (10-3-2 5KO) in an 8-round affair. The second half of the co- main event marks the return of “Contender” cast member Jimmy Lange (26-3-1 18KO) facing an opponent to be determined. Also added in a 6-round special attraction is James McGirt Jr. (11-0 7KO) son of world famous trainer and two-time welterweight champ James “Buddy” McGirt. Also scheduled to appear on the card is exciting female boxer Jamie McGrath (1-0).

The sweet science gives back to the community as Frankie G and Ring Promotions have not only put together one of their best cards but have, for the fifth time, made this a charity dinner event. Charity donations are going to be contributed to three very significant organizations, The Veterans from Northport Hospital, the Huntington Station Fire Department, and the Veteran Boxing Association-Ring 8.

In addition to the generosity of Frankie G and Bob Duffy, The Contender’s Jimmy Lange is donating his entire purse to the Veteran Boxing Association Ring 8. “This is very important to us, giving back, especially to these three organizations who have contributed so much to the community ”stated Frankie G. “ We are proud to be able to give back the Veterans who fought for this country, to the volunteer fire department who risk their lives to keep us safe, and to Ring-8 who ties the retired boxing community together.” For anyone who has been to a Ring Promotions event one thing is for sure, you will get your money’s worth. To Promoter Bob Duffy, a 20-year veteran of the sport, nothing is more important than to put on quality fights. This being their 18th show, Ring Promotions have built a very fan friendly reputation. “Brilliant matchmaking is what makes are events stand out ”states Duffy. “No one wants to pay good money to see one-sided fights and first round blowouts, we are committed to bring the fans an exciting night of action and competitive fights that they deserve.” It is this attitude that has made Ring Promotions and Frankie G Productions events a success.

This event is expected to have 8 exciting bouts, an updated Card will be announced in the coming weeks. Prices for this event are $160 (VIP Ringside), which includes 2-hour cocktail party, cigars, and a seven-course meal served at your ringside table with all drinks included. $30 (General admission).

The Huntington Townhouse is located at 124 East Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station in Long Island NY. VIP reception starts at 5:45pm, General admission doors open at 6:30pm.
