MSG Network to Premiere "Golden Gloves Classics"
Witness current and past world champions fight as amateurs during MSGNetworks Thursday Night Boxing program

New York, NY "Golden Gloves Classics" has been addedto MSG Networks weekly Thursday Night Boxing programming schedule, it wasannounced today. The memorable boxing shows will premier on Thursday, June 8and will air regularly on Thursday nights on MSG Network.

The MSG Network boxing vault has been opened and the "Golden GlovesClassics" will showcase the rich tradition of the New York Golden Glovesboxing tournament, which has become a staple at Madison Square Garden. Theone-hour boxing shows will feature the legendary fights of the past withMarc Breland's road to his fifth consecutive Golden Gloves championship asthe premier show. Upcoming shows will feature Riddick Bowe, Kevin Kelley,Junior Jones, Mitch Green, Tracy Patterson and Gerry Gooney all as amateurs.

MSG Network's Gus Johnson, who has been calling blow-by-blow forarea boxing events on MSG Network for several years, will host "GoldenGloves Classics". Throughout the course of the shows several special guestswill join Johnson to reflect on the past.

In addition to displaying the great tradition of the Golden Gloves,'Thursday Night Boxing' will also broadcast boxing events on a regularbasis.

1945 at the Golden Glove Tournamentmy father lost his last and onlyloss. He was referred to asKiller Lee (James/Jimmy Lee)who was a light heavyweight.Do you have anything regardingthis story.
