Robert Morales: De La Hoya to take a break from ring

Oscar De La Hoya on Wednesday said the burden of deciding whether he would continue fighting or retire from the ring was too much for him, so he has decided to take a break from the process and announce his decision at a later date.

De La Hoya, during an international conference call, said he definitely will not fight in September against Floyd Mayweather Jr., and that if he does fight, it will only be one time, against Mayweather in May 2007.
