PHILADELPHIA, Penn. - The Tommy Loughran hystorical monument is officially now up!

Regular Cyber Boxing Zone Contributor Chuck Hasson helped make it happen.

Commenting on this event, Hasson said, "Celeste Morello deserves all the credit for rallying the troops and making it happen."

On St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2006, the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission announced that they granted their approval for South Philadelphia's Tommy Loughran, a proud Irishman and the former world light-heavyweight champion, to receive an official state historical marker. After the hard efforts of Morello and others, it's finally up.
