Vinny Maddalone v. Jermell Barnes in Heavyweight Attraction
New York, NY- Live professional boxing returns to MSG Network, Michael Bair, President, MSG Media announced today. Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing, Inc pits Vinnie Maddalone against Jermell Barnes in a heavyweight main attraction from the Saratoga Springs City Center in Saratoga, New York on Friday, August 18th at 8:00 p.m.
"Boxing stories have long been an important part of the Network's heritage," said Mike Bair, President, MSG Media. "It has a rich history in New York, and it's the type of programming viewers are going to see as MSG Networks broadens its coverage of sports and entertainment."
Vinnie Maddalone (26-3, 19 KO’s), a native of Flushing, New York is on the comeback trail as he squares off against former NABO Champion Jermell Barnes (17-12-1 4 KO’s) in the 10-round heavyweight main event. In addition, fight fans can see the undefeated heavyweight prospect, Malachy Farrell (14-0, 11 KO’s) tangle with Troy, NY native, Shannon Miller (14,1 8 KO’s)
Additionally, MSG Network, a leader of technological offerings, will provide live streaming video of the bouts on msgnetwork.com
Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing, Inc will produce the August 18th fight card with former New York State boxing commissioner, Randy Gordon serving as the analyst with Arnie Rosenthal calling the blow-by-blow.
