Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero

LOS ANGELES - With a few weeks left till fight night, Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero’s camp is moving along very well. After talking to kids on Monday at the L.A.P.D. Jeopardy Program, a gang prevention/intervention program for boys and girls ages 8 through 17, Guerrero stated “It’s very important that we pay attention to our youth and guide them to the right path. I feel boxing gave me an alternative outlet to stay away from trouble and anything I can do to help out the youth, I’m for it.

When asked about his thoughts on this title fight, Guerrero said, “I feel good and I will be ready for war, come Sept 2nd. I think the boxing fans are going to be happy with the styles that will be on display. This is what I’ve been working for my whole life.”

On Sat, September 2nd at Staples Center in Los Angeles, Guerrero (18-1-1 11KO’s) is set to fight IBF featherweight champion Eric “Mighty Mouse” Aiken (16-4 12KO’s) as the Co-Feature to James “Lights Out” Toney and Sam “The Nigerian Nightmare” Peter live on Showtime 10:00 PM ET/PT.

This will be the first world title shot for Robert as he will attempt to become the first World Champion from the Bay Area of the millennium.
