FRANCE - Former WBA supermiddle champ Christophe Tiozzo saw most of his ring earnings go up in smoke due to bad investments, writes netboxe.com. Tiozzo then sued the attorney who handled his finances and won after a ruling in a French supreme court. However, he never got any money. The ex-champ, who won bronze in the 84 Olympics, is now looking to make a public protest and give all medals and belts to the French Government to get attention to his case. Tiozzo turned pro in 85, won the EBU 160 lb champ in 88 and won the WBA crown at supermiddle in 1990. He also challenged then WBC lightheavy ruler Jeff Harding but was stopped in eight. Tiozzo retired in 92 but came back 95-96.

Former EBU supermiddle champ Danilo Haussler takes on Russian Sergey Kharchenko August 26 in Oldenburg in a supporting bout to Abraham vs Miranda and Sylvester vs Mezaache. Heavyweight Francesco Pianeta, who beat Slovakian Vlado Szabo on points August 11 in Italy takes on Dirk Thelecke. Cuban cruiser Yoan Pablo Hernandez is in against Tefouet Dieudonne while heavyweight Rene Dettweiler fights Italian Paolo Ferrara.

P4P Box Promotion in Aachen, Germany, headed by former Intīl German heavy champ Mario Guedes, will stage a ten fight show September 23 mainly with local talents. The show is supervised by the GBA.

Patrik Akerlund has pulled out of the show in Oulu, Finland, September 2. The 36-year old Swedish cruiser was all set to comeback after seven years out of the ring but those plans are now scratched.
