Varela (15-2, 10 KOs), coming off of his title belt-winning performance July 14 against Corey Johnson, tangles with veteran Mexican fighter Gomez (28-11-2, 19 KOs), who has fought for the WBO welterweight and IBF lightweight titles during his eight-year pro career.

One of the hottest prospects in boxing, unbeaten Alexis Camacho (11-0, 10 KOs), faces Anthony Charnell (6-3-1, 5 KOs), in the six-round co-feature. Two-time National Mexican amateur champion Camacho has knocked out his last 10 opponents including Ray Cunningham this past September 1 in Las Vegas.

Also on the card in a six-round Special Female Attraction is former WIBA flyweight champion Melinda Cooper (16-0, 9 KOs), who is now campaigning as a bantamweight and rated No. 1 by the WIBA, against TBA.

Strong supporting fights include undefeated cruiserweight Brandon "The Havoc" Harris (4-0, 3 KOs) versus Adam Conley (2-3, 1 KO), as well as featherweight Frankie Leal (7-1, 5 KOs), super featherweight Lonnie Smith (4-0-1, 4 KOs) and pro debuting super lightweight Anthony Martinez against opponents to be determined.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, first bout at 7 PM. Tickets, priced at $25.00 and $35.00, may be purchased at the Orleans box office or by calling 702.365.7111. Go to www.silverhawkboxin g.com for more information about the show or Silverhawk Championship Boxing
