Replay of Valuev vs. Beck & Briggs vs. Adamek I at donking.com
Prelude to HBO’s Live Broadcast of ‘Big Red October’ Saturday at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT

CHICAGO—Don King will allow boxing fans to see free replays of Nikolai “Russian Giant” Valuev’s third-round technical knockout over Owen “What the Heck” Beck from June 3 as well as one of the best fights of 2006, a sensational slugfest between Tomasz Adamek and Paul “Firepower” Briggs now at his web site, www.donking.com.

King and his German-based co-promoters, Sauerland Event, will present Big Red October on Saturday from Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., featuring World Boxing Association heavyweight champion Valuev’s second title defense against Monte “Two Gunz” Barrett and a re-match showcasing Adamek vs. Briggs II that will be broadcast live domestically on HBO at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

The previous bouts of Valuev vs. Beck and Briggs vs. Adamek I were not shown on American television, so King wanted to give fans an opportunity to see these bouts.

“I had the good fortune to be present to see both fights live and in person and I want to give boxing fans around the globe an opportunity to see these two great matches,” King said. “The giant Russian looked tremendous against Owen Beck and the first meeting between Adamek and Briggs was my favorite fight of 2006. Those two fought with the courage and bravery that makes boxing so special.

King added: “I know this will wet boxing fans’ whistles to tune in on HBO Saturday night to see the Big Red October world championship doubleheader.”

To see the replays, fans can log on to www.donking.com on the World Wide Web and follow the links.
