COPENHAGEN, Denmark, October 14 - WBA supermiddle champ Mikkel Kessler dominated his WBC counterpart Markus Beyer scoring with a precise jab almost from beginning. Beyer, a southpaw, tried to counter but the Dane was just a little too quick for him. At the end of the third Kessler connected with a perfect right hand on the chin of Beyer. The German went down on his back, got to his knees and looked over to his corner with eyes gone as Italian referee Guido Cavalleri tolled ten and out.

Beyer must be at the end now. He went out and tried his best but it wasnīt enough. Kessler is heading for superstar status. He have the looks and charisma to make it in the TV era and skills you canīt be taught.

In the final bout of the evening there was an upset as Russian southpaw, Sergey Tatevosyan, in Copenhagen as sparring for Kessler, came from behind to stop WBO # 1 supermiddle Rudy Markussen in the seventh. Markussen was well ahead after six but got into trouble late in the round and went down. For some reason all heart seemed to leave him and as the Russian poured it on Markussen went down again, got up but shook his head and went to his corner. It was scheduled for eight.

Female bantam Anita Christensen won the vacant WBA/WBC and GBU titles with a unanimous decision over French lady Nadia Hockmi. It was scored 96-94, 96-94 and 97-94.

Thomas Hansvoll from Norway and Dane Johny Jensen drew over eight in a fight for the vacant Nordic cruiserweight title. Hansvoll looked like he had nicked it though but it was scored 77-75 for Jensen and 76-76 on two cards.

German supermiddle Danilo Haussler finished cut and bruised against Russian Sergey Kharchenko but got a the win on a split call after eight.

Dane Martin Kristjansen outscored Norwegian Geir Inge Jorgensen after eight to win the vacant Nordic title on scores of 78-75, 77-75 and 78-74.

Featherweight Spend Abazi unanimously outscored Venezuelan Edinso Torres after six.
