FORMER Heavyweight contender "Big" Lou Savarese, 45-6 (37 KO's), continues his pugilistic comeback at the Grand Plaza Hotel, 8686 Kirby Drive @ 610 in Houston, Texas on Thursday, April 5th versus hard hitting Matt "Hurricane" Hicks, 10-1 (10 KO's), from Russellville, Arkansas.

Savarese is upping his level of competition by taking on the 6' 4" go for broke winger that is Hicks as he makes one final run at a heavyweight championship shot he hopes to secure by the end of 2007. Big Lou, in shape and hitting hard, is confident that he can capture a portion of the Heavyweight title that has eluded him for so many years if finally given the opportunity.

The stellar six-bout card presented by Rock Solid Boxing also features local favorites such as heavy hitting USNBC Light Heavyweight Champion Chris Henry, 17-0 (14 KO's), and Junior Middleweight Chase "White Tiger" Shields , 22-0-1 (12 KO's), in bouts that are sure to be packed with plenty of fistic fireworks for the local area fight fans.

Big punching heavyweight prospect Eugene Hill, 3-0 (3 KO's), and speedy featherweight Marcelino Osuna, 2-0 (1 KO), are also slated for action as is Heavyweight Ahmed Abdin, 31-3-4 (16 KO's), who is making his return to the punch for pay ranks after a two year hiatus from the sport.

The gates open at 6:30 pm with the first bout starting at 7:30. For tickets and more information please call 713-557-3819, or visit www.rsboxing.com
