'One in a Million's' Michael Walker celebrates his recent win over Dante Craig

MERRILLVILLE, Ind., September 13 - In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, One In A Million Inc. will feature the professional debuts of three of the region's most promising Hispanic boxers, Evette Collazo, Ed Ochoa and Jimmy Perez Jr., on Friday, September 21, at the Radisson at Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, IN. Highly touted undefeated middleweight Michael Walker (16-0-1, 10 KOs) and Gary's own "Merciless" Mary McGee (10-0, 5 KOs) headline the action packed seven-bout card.

"Since Hispanic Heritage Month begins September 15, it's the perfect time to introduce our regular fight fans, as well as the booming Hispanic communities in northwest Indiana and Chicagoland, to three area fighters who embody that great Hispanic boxing spirit," said Octavius James, CEO of One In A Million Inc. "The support of the Hispanic community is something very important to One In A Million. We're proud to present three exciting new fighters from that community in Evette Collazo, Ed Ochoa and Jimmy Perez Jr. who are certain to win over the fans with their all-action style."

"It's terrific for the Hispanic community when events like this highlight talented, local athletes," said Lillian Torres of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Northwest Indiana. "Our culture has a rich tradition of great champions and loyal fans. I've experienced One In A Million's exciting events and encourage anyone who loves the sport of boxing to come out and experience it for themselves."

Titled "United We Stand," the evening's main event features rising middleweight star, Michael "The Midnight Stalker" Walker (16-0-1, 10 KOs), of Chicago. Walker faces veteran William Johnson (9-14-1, 3KOs) who returns to the ring following an 8-round decision loss to former contender Epifanio Mendoza.

"Walker is definitely our franchise player," said James. "He made a huge impact on the boxing experts when he KO'd former Olympian Dante Craig on the undercard of HBO's August 4th Pay-Per-View. I'm hoping to showcase him on a premium cable outlet by the end of this year."

In the evening's co-main event, undefeated female phenom "Merciless" Mary McGee (10-0, 5 KOs) of Gary will fight an opponent to be announced in what will likely be her last bout before fighting for a title.

In addition, Superman returns on September 21st when Derrick "Superman" Findley (8-2, 5 KOs) faces Chris Govan (2-4-1, 2 KOs) in a 6-round middleweight bout. Rounding out the card, lightweight "Dangerous" Don Moore (12-0-1, 10 KOs) of Gary and featherweight Jose Guzman (3-0, 2 KOs) of Michoacan, Mexico, face opponents to be announced.

Tickets, priced at $100 VIP, $75 VIP ringside, $50 ringside and $25 general admission, are available from Star Plaza Theatre box office at (219-769-6600) or from any Ticket Master location at (312-559-1212) or www.TicketMaster.com.

The Radisson is located at 800 E. 81st Ave. in Merrillville, IN. Doors open at 7 p.m. The first bout begins at 8 p.m.
