Sinan Samil Sam Receives European Championship Belt & Dreams of a World Title

At a press conference in Ankara on Tuesday, Sinan Samil Sam received the European championship belt that he had won by majority decision against Paolo Vidoz on July 4th.
“We are sorry that this took so long”, stated EBU President Bob Logist who had come to Ankara for the ceremony. “I would have loved to crown Sinan in the ring instead.”
Logist once more explained that one of the judges who had changed his mind regarding the result of the last round after the fight returned to his original scoring to give Sam the majority decision.
“This mistake made by one of the judges was no normal thing for sure,” added Logist. “It took me some meetings to solve the situation. And I hope something like this will never happen again.”
Sinan thanked the EBU president and said that he didn’t want to look back in anger but rather think about what the future holds for him.
“It feels great to be European champion again”, stated the “Bull from Bosporus.” “Now I want to go on and become heavyweight champion of the world. I hope my promoter can bring a world title bout to Turkey.”
