Max Kellerman Lands On His Feet
By Gordoom

Max called today & it turns out everything is jake with him. He's been signed to Fox Sports & he is going to be the host of a sports talk show.

He said his leaving ESPN wasn't about the money issue. That they were actually close on that part. He said that ESPN just wasn't a good fit for him anymore for a number of reasons. A big one was that hosting that daily show forced him to live in Washington DC. If you've never been there, other than the historical stuff & the Smithsonian, DC is a real shithole.

Also, since ESPN is severely cutting back if not altogether eliminating their boxing series; Max wanted a non-exclusivity deal like they used to give to Al Bernstein so he could do PPV's on the side. He said they refused. He also had issues with the radio part of their deal.

At any rate he felt uncomfortable with many aspects of the deal so he didn't sign back up with them. He sounded very enthused about his new talk show gig & said it would definitely include boxing segments.

I asked him if he intended to stay in the boxing field & he said, "I'll be involved with boxing for as long as boxing will have me".
