HOUSTON - Professional boxing returns to Houston this Thursday, September 20th at the Grand Plaza Hotel (8686 Kirby Drive @ 610) with promoter Cameron Parks' latest installment of Rock Solid's Thursday Night Fights. The main event features fan favorite local super middleweight planter Guadalupe Martinez (14-1, 9 KO's) from Sugar land, and the supporting under card looks to be very promising as well for local fight aficionados.

Heavyweight slugger Rafael Butler (27-4, 22 KO's) looks to continue his winning streak vs tough veteran Sedreck Fields. Fields has wins over former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs, and former cruiserweight champion Al "Ice" Cole in a lengthy resume that also saw him go the distance with former heavyweight king Michael Moorer recently. Butler is looking to stretch the wily veteran as he entertains his own visions of climbing the heavyweight ladder to the top someday, and is taking it one rung at a time in the brutal learning curve that is professional heavyweight boxing.

Local heavyweight wrecking machine Eugene Hill (5-0, 5 KO's) from Dickinson also looks to excite his many Galveston County followers and all of those in attendance as he has his sights set on his sixth knockout victim.

Smooth boxing light heavyweight Alfonso "El Tigre" Lopez (3-0, 2 KO's) is in action as well and looks to be a real prospect in Texas professional boxing, and southpaw crowd pleasing super featherweight Marcelino Osuna (5-1, 2 KO's) will also make an appearance on the card. Gifted Mexican super featherweight Cruz Valdiva (1-0) will get things started Thursday night as the action promises to be hot and heavy in the beautiful Grand Plaza ballroom in the Las Vegas style "big fight" atmosphere.

And as always, the lovely "Hooters Girls" will be there serving as waitresses for those lucky boxing buffs on site, and will definitely get temperatures rising and hearts pumping as they take your orders while displaying their ample assets. Doors open at 6:30 pm with the first fight slated to start at 7:30 pm. For more information visit rsboxing.com, or call 713-557-3819.

See you at the fights!
